Thongs

thongs g strings

A couple of years ago The Wall Street Journal reported that "Thongs are the fastest growing sgment of the $2 billion-a-year women's panty business." Several companies have been credited for the jump in sales. In the U.S. the thong has only been in the marketplace for a little over 10 years. The thong has become popular for many reasons such as the ability not to have panty lines, the ability to give a smooth and rounded finish to the butt, men also find them sexier than traditional underwear.

Thongs are worn as swimwear, and underwear. Men and women can wear thongs. Thongs are the earliest form of clothing known to history of mankind, although just within the last year has the thong become popular in american culture. It has been popular for decades in countries such as Brazil.

There are several types of the thong, the following are the most popular to this date; g-string, thong, 2/3 or 1/3 back tanga, v-string, t-back, and the rio. The g-string offers the smallest amount of coverage, there is no waistband, just a string. The thong has a thin strip of a waistband and some coverage, the 2/3 or 1/3 back tanga has the most coverage of all the types of thongs, but less coverage than a typical swimsuit bikini, the v-string has more coverage that a traditional g-string, and has a "V" shape in the back, the t-back has a "T" shape in the back, and the rio is just the opposite of the t-back, but raises up on the sides rather than going straight across.
